Sculptureum is located just outside of Matakana village, an hour's drive north of Auckland City. The address is 40 Omaha Flats Rd, Matakana. For driving directions, click here.
There are a couple of tour companies operating experiences in Matakana who depart Auckland daily - click the links below for more information.
Dogs are welcome on the grass areas by Freddie's Outdoor Kitchen and The Terrace Lawn Bar however aren't allowed through the Galleries & Gardens, Rothko Restaurant or on to the vineyard (except for service dogs).

Groups of 10 or more receive a special rate for entry to The Sculptureum Experience. If you have a large group, please contact our events team to book directly.
Yes, we have plenty of free parking on site for your car, motorbike, bicycle or campervan (albeit not overnight). If you’re staying locally and want to enjoy a couple of wines over lunch/dinner we recommend getting in touch with Mai Ride or Matakabs, our local passenger service.
Please do lock your car, Sculptureum does not accept liability for loss or damage to cars or their contents while the cars are at the site.
Visitors aren’t permitted to bring food or drinks (water is ok) to Sculptureum. We recommend you book a table at Rothko for lunch or stop by Sculptureum Kitchen at 8 Wired Barrelworks at Matakana Village.
Children particularly love the animals (rabbits and birds) and the colourful sculptures in The Palm and Pink Snail Gardens. We do ask that your children are supervised at all times and refrain from touching or climbing on the art work. If dining at Rothko, please be respectful of other diners.
Yes, for the enjoyment of other guests we please ask that you refrain from smoking while on site at Sculptureum.
Yes, we’re happy to honour your ticket for another date within six months of your original booking date. Please call the ticket office on 09 422 7375 and we will amend your ticket online and re-issue it for you.
Sculptureum is open rain or shine, unless the weather is bad enough to compromise your safety in which case we will post on our Facebook page and update the opening hours on the website. There are plenty of umbrellas on site that you are welcome to borrow in the event of rain and likewise, there are parasols for sunny days.
There are lots of great B&B’s nearby, as well as the Matakana Motel and Riverside Matakana Baches and a couple of high end Lodges too. Click here to see them all.
Yes! There are 1.5km of flat paths that are very easy to maneuver. There are a couple of wheelchairs on site that you’re welcome to borrow. Please advise at the time of booking if you would like to use one to ensure we reserve it for you on the day.
We recommend you set aside 2-3 hours to spend at Sculptureum. If you’re going to dine at Rothko Restaurant we suggest adding another 1-1.5hrs.
