On a sun-soaked hill beyond the Gardens is the vineyard that produces Sculptureum’s award-winning wines. The 10 acre vineyard overlooks the sculpture gardens with views out to Little and Great Barrier Islands. Sculptureum wines are best enjoyed with a meal at Rothko or why not savor the experience and take a bottle home.
The vineyard was first planted in 1994 as Hyperion Winery and prior to that, it was a dairy farm. In 2007 Sandra and Anthony Grant increased the size of the vineyard and changed the varieties of grapes grown. The vineyard has held a sustainable accreditations since 2011. Our wine styles are new world with approachable balance and concentration. The wines compliment fresh seasonal food which is showcased at Rothko Restaurant.
